What is triplicity astrology?

Triplicity astrology is a branch of astrology that focuses on dividing the twelve zodiac signs into four groups or "triplicities" based on the four classical elements: fire, earth, air, and water. Each triplicity contains three zodiac signs that share the same element and are said to have certain characteristics and qualities in common.

In triplicity astrology, the zodiac signs are grouped as follows:

  • Fire signs: Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius
  • Earth signs: Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn
  • Air signs: Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius
  • Water signs: Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces

According to triplicity astrology, each triplicity has its own ruling planet, which is believed to influence the personality traits and characteristics of those born under the signs in that triplicity. The ruling planet for the fire triplicity is Mars, for the earth triplicity it is Mercury, for the air triplicity it is Saturn, and for the water triplicity it is Jupiter.

Some astrologers use triplicity astrology in addition to other astrological techniques to gain insight into a person's personality, strengths, weaknesses, and life path. However, it is important to note that not all astrologers subscribe to or use triplicity astrology in their practice.
